GÖNÜL MUTFAĞI
“Gönül Mutfağı” (Heart Kitchen) was a volunteer initiative promptly started in response to the earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023, which deeply affected 11 of our provinces, to meet the needs of earthquake victims for hot meals and food in Hatay, İskenderun.
Between February 6 and June 30, 2023, approximately 4,000 volunteers worked together and served hot meals to 70 thousand people a day, preparing and distributing a total of approximately 17
million containers of food.

by purchasing the food
needs listed in the "Earthquake Aid" category on the website of the Soil to Plate Agricultural Development Cooperative (www.topraktantabaga.com.tr). and/or supported by bulk purchasing through the Cooperative. The cooperative ensured that the products were delivered to the kitchen through producers and distributors in the region.
We are working for a new future in Hatay.
We are housewives, doctors, workers, cooks, students, engineers, academics... Here, we do everything as a part of this collective culture, regardless of our identity, status, or social roles.
With the support of over 4,000 volunteers, we delivered approximately 17 million cups of hot meals.
Throughout the summer of 2023, we distributed two truckloads of cold water daily.
We employed 30 local people in our kitchen through the Soil to Plate Agricultural Development Cooperative.
We transformed the kitchen of a student dormitory with a capacity of 1,500 people into a soup kitchen with a capacity of 70,000 meals per day.

Ebru Baybara Demir tarafindan sadece iyilikle uzatilan bir el olarak baslatilmis ve oyle korunmus. Gonul mutfagimiz aglarken guldugunuz, uzuntuden huzura uzanan bir el. Insan oldugunuz ve insanlarla oldugunuz bir yer.
Mutfak Dostları Derneği, Pandemi Dönemi İlham Verenler Özel Ödülü sahibi ve birçok sosyal gastronomi projesini hayata geçiren Ebru Baybara Demir’i 6 Şubat deprem felaketi sonrası tüm Dünya, artık “Sosyal Şef” ünvanı ile tanıyor. Felaketin sonrası yaşanan kaos içinde kurduğu mutfaklarda her gün on binlerce kişiye yemek yapan birden çok ekibin üretim planlamasını organize eden, felaketzedelerin yaşadıkları travmayı yemek pişirerek iyileştiren, onların gönüllerinde hiçbir zaman unutmayacakları derin bir iz bırakan Sosyal Şef Ebru Baybara Demir, bu mutfaklarda çalışarak zamanını ve emeğini iyiliğe dönüştürmek isteyen binlerce gönüllünün lideri ve mesai arkadaşı olarak da hatırlanacak,bundan böyle ve özellikle her 6 Şubat günü. Mutfak Dostları Derneği olarak ona ve gönüllülerine bu yolculuklarında, yangına su taşıyan karınca misali destek olmaktan çok mutlu olduk, onur duyduk.

Bölgede her şeye ihtiyaç var. Bu nedenle eksiklerden ziyade ihtiyaçlara ve bölgenin geleceğine odaklanmak gerekiyor. Sivil toplum kuruluşları, platformlar, gönüllüler, firmalar herkes bu sürece kendi imkanları ile destek oluyor. Birçok kez bu duygumu ifade etmişimdir, ben millet olmanın gerçek anlamda ne demek olduğunu 46 yaşımda burada anladım. Koca bir ülke kenetlendik. Bugünden sonra önemli olan mevcut desteklerin ve gönüllülüğün devamlığını sağlarken aynı zamanda bu şehirlerin yeniden inşası için bölge halkı ile beraber, onları ve ihtiyaçlarını dinleyerek düzeni kurabilmek için çalışmak.
